Museum Bible Tours - Motivating Bible Tours

Rodin's Thinker is perhaps his best known monumental work, first conceived circa 1880–1881 as a depiction of the poet Dante. The image evolved until it no longer represented Dante, but all poets or creators.

The Legion of Honor, San Francisco's most beautiful museum, displays an impressive collection of 4,000 years of ancient and European art in an unforgettable setting overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge.

Its collections include Rodin's Thinker, which sits in the museum's Court of Honor, European decorative arts and paintings, Ancient art, and one of the largest collections of prints and drawings in the country.

The Legion of Honor art museum is home to a collection that spans four millennia of history. Housed within a French neoclassical building, the collection overlooks the city, the Golden Gate, and the Pacific Ocean beyond.

Holdings include European paintings; European decorative arts and sculpture; ancient art from the Mediterranean basin; and one of the largest repositories of works of art on paper in the nation.
