Your Word Is Truth
You will learn about Bible history and prophecy as well as about historical persons in connection with the Bible.
In addition, archaeology will be discussed and how it has produced beneficial information that has aided in the identification of Biblical sites and has shed light on the living conditions and activities of ancient peoples and rulers referred to in the Bible.
It will also be pointed out that archaeology is a nonessential supplement and an unrequired confirmation of the truth of God’s Word. The knowledge of the past in the light of the Bible is, alone, essential, and solidly reliable.
About the museum/location:
The Israel Museum is the largest cultural institution in the State of Israel and is ranked among the world’s leading art and archaeology museums. Founded in 1965, the Museum features the most extensive holdings of biblical and Holy Land archaeology in the world. In nearly seventy years, the Museum has built a far-ranging collection of nearly 500,000 objects, representing the full scope of world material culture.
Questions that will be answered on tour:
- To what extent does archaeology serve to confirm the historicity of Bible accounts?
- Is the knowledge of the past in the light of Biblical archaeological discovery necessary for faith in the Bible?
- How much does the Bible, with or without archaeology, give true meaning to life?
