About the museum: Our tour is comprised of three separate museums/sites: Arena (Amphitheater) – is one of the best-preserved Roman ruins outside of Italy. It was built in the 1st century AD during the reign of Emperor Vespasian, at the same time as the magnificent Colosseum in Rome. It is the only Roman amphitheatre in the world with a complete circle wall. It was built to hold 20,000 spectators. Archaeological Museum of Istria – Founded in 1902, the museum contains vast collection of thousands of artifacts from various time periods. Many Roman finds are on display here - jewellery, coins and weapons from Roman and medieval times, ceramics and fossils from pre-history, mosaics and sarcophagi. Temple of Augustus - The Temple, situated in the the former Roman Forum, is dedicated to to the first Roman emperor, Augustus. It was built during the 1st century BC. The Temple of Augustus is a wonderful example of the Roman building during the early ages of the Empire.

This tour will answer the following questions:
In what kind of world did the early Christians live? What does history tell us about the arena and the events occurring there? Who were the gladiators? Why was it inappropriate for Christians to frequent Roman theaters and amphitheaters?
How does the Bible describe our enemy, his methods, and the nature of our “struggle”? How does Ephesians 6:14-18 describe a Christian’s “suit of armor”?
Who was Augustus Caesar? How did he come to be the first emperor of Rome? What role did he play in connection with the Bible's prophecies?
You will no doubt be encouraged by the answers you will receive on the tour.
What you will experience:
Qualified guides will tour you through the museum and highlight artifacts related to the Bible theme. You will learn among other things, about Bible history, prophecy as well as Biblical archaeology. Furthermore, you will learn about historical persons in connection with the Bible. High-quality artwork of Bible persons, places, and historical individuals will be used throughout the tour to enhance your experience. The tour will be interactive with thought-provoking questions being posed by your guide throughout the tour.
