The ancient Israelites according to the Bible faced many threats from their enemies, including the Egyptians, Assyrians, Babylonians, and Persians.
For example, the Egyptian Pharaoh released the enslaved Israelites, but later changed his mind and chased after them with his powerful army intending to slaughter them at the Read Sea.— Exodus 14:1-14.
Ordinarily, the Israelites would have been afraid. But there was no reason to be. Why? How did God rescue them? And what lessons can we learn from this exciting Bible account?
Moreover, the Assyrians and Persians were also determined to destroy God's people. Yet, the Israelites were not afraid, in fact they were courages and strong. How was this possible in the face of such threats? What lessons can we learn from these scriptural accounts? — 2 Kings 19:31-37; Esther 9:1-19
