Los Angeles Museum Bible Tours – FAQ's

“How much does the tour cost?”

LACMA

Adults: $24
Seniors (65+ with ID) $20
Students (18+ with valid ID): $20
Children (17 and under): $6
Members: $6

Students, Seniors and Museum Members will need to bring their proper ID card with them to the museum at the time of the tour in order to provide proof of the rate they’ve paid for.

VPAM

All Guests: $10

All of the tour guides are volunteers and conduct these tours on their own time and are not paid to conduct these tours.

“How do I pay for the tour?”

All payments are processed by PayPal. Generally, our tours do not have a limit as to how many can book a specific day and time.

“Does my payment for the tour also allow me access to other parts of the museum?”

Yes, and your admission also entitles  you to see any special exhibitions that are available to see while you are visiting the museum.

“What days and times are the tours conducted?”

LACMA: Tours are conducted on the first and third Saturdays and the second and fourth Fridays of each month.  They are conducted in the mornings, afternoons and late afternoons.

VPAM: Tours are conducted every Friday at 2PM.

“How many tours are there and how long do they last?”

The tour of the LACMA entitled: The God of True Prophecy lasts approximatly 1 hour and 30 minutes.  You should plan on your total time at the museum to be approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes which will include check-in, etc. More info regarding the tour, The One Who Caused the Plagues of Egypt will be coming soon.

“What times is the museum open?”

Hours for LACMA
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 11 am–5 pm
Friday: 11 am–8 pm
Saturday, Sunday: 10 am–7 pm

Closed Wednesdays, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

“How can I get to the museum by car and public transportation?”

LACMA

By Subway/Bus
Metro 20 & 720 on Wilshire and 217, 218, and 780 on Fairfax all stop within half a block of the museum. See the Metro website for bus and subway maps or call 323-GoMetro (323 466-3876).

By Car
From the Santa Monica Freeway (I-10): Take Fairfax Avenue north 2 miles to Wilshire Boulevard.
From the southbound Hollywood Freeway: Take Highland Avenue 3.5 miles south to Wilshire Boulevard; take a right on Wilshire and proceed 1 mile west.  Guests being dropped off or requiring assistance should arrive curbside along Wilshire Blvd in front of the Urban Light sculpture.

“Is there parking at the museum?”

“Is the tour available in other languages?”

Yes! At the time of checkout, you can select the preferred language. Be aware however, that even though every effort is made to accommodate those in other languages, it may be in English due to scheduling.

“Is there a food break during the tour?”

No. We recommend that you eat before or after the tour. There are restaurants in the museum. You will be sent more information about this in your final confirmation email.

“Can price rate discounts of any kind be applied to MBT price rates?”

No.  LACMA requires that MBT charge a group-rate for self-guided tours. Additionally, MBT tour groups already receive a discount which is referred to as a group-rate.  In other words, MBT tour groups are not entitled to any further discounts.
